International Astronomy Olympiad
Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education is the nodal centre of the country for Olympiad programmes in mathematics and sciences including astronomy. The programmes aim at promoting excellence in science and mathematics among pre-university students.
The International Astronomy Olympiad is conducted under the aegis of the Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education.
The National Astronomy Olympiad Programme is designed to encourage students with good foundations in Physics and Mathematics and an interest in Astronomy to pursue further studies in this field.
This programme is carried out at two levels : Junior & Senior. Junior group students will be eligible for International Astronomy Olympiad (IAO) only & Senior group students will be eligible for International Olympiad in Astronomy & Astrophysics (IOAA) only.
